Welcome to the New Home of Mitchell & Russell Audiophile Cable Company!

About Us

The name "Mitchell & Russell" isn’t some snobby last-name combo — it’s just my brother’s name and mine.

Russell is on the right, looking both angelic and elated with his dolphin cake. Mitchell (that’s me) is on the left, doing an “OMG can you believe this guy!”.

This photo was taken on the day of the moon landing — July 20, 1969. I know this because Russell’s birthday is July 20, and this cake has nine candles. We watched the live broadcast and heard the words, “One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” We thought that was pretty good. We kept going outside to look at the moon — not because we expected to see anything, but because we felt compelled to do it. Kids.

We were gadget kids — model airplanes, model rockets, and later, computers and audio equipment. We never tired of it.

The company bears our name because it’s the only company name my kids were enthusiastic about. Russell is the silent partner in the Mitchell & Russell Audiophile Cable Company only because he passed away in 2009. If he hadn’t, he’d be all over this — and anything but silent.

Mitchell & Russell Audio operates in Salt Lake City, Utah — famous for skiing and weird liquor laws. The area also happens to host a disproportionately high number of audio companies: Wilson Audio Specialties, Zu Audio, Kimber Cable, and Tekton, among others. Why this place? I don’t know, but I suspect the liquor laws play a role.

All our cables are designed, tested and built right here. If we can control it, we do. Our goal is to provide outstanding high value audio cables to the audiophile community.

We look forward to making a lot of new friends!

Sincerely,

Mitchell
